2.1 – Website Comments.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
2.2 – Uploaded/published Media.
If author upload images to the website – should avoid uploading images with embedded location data included (EXIF GPS).
Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website, which compromises private data of the person creating/uploading images.
2.3 – Contact forms.
We don’t hold any contact form available on news.bitshares.org
All the legal and official contacts are going through official bitshares.org and it’s legal representatives.
2.4 – Website Cookies.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

This website is being managed through worker and ownership through Consensus of the main website – bitshares.org; as such, bitshares.org website keeps ownership of unique Google Analytics ID and tracking available for this website ( news.bitshares.org ).
3. – Who we share your private data with ?
Outside of few administrators that are employed by BitShares blockchain through workers and Consensus, and actual owner of the domain bitshares.org (Move Institute), nobody else.
To make sure for sake of our own users and ourselves as organization, we have incorporated highest security patches and customization on top of our WordPress installation and our hosting server to ensure that no data can be stolen.
MySQL server and all private/sensitive data have localhost-only level of access and data is not accessible to anyone apart from the manager/sysadmin of the hosting or employee/authorized personnel of Move Institute/BitShares.org.
4. – How long we retain your metadata ?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can, also, will see and edit that information if necessary for any reason.
5. What rights you have over your data ?
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you.
This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments is checked through an automated spam detection service. Currently this website is using Akismet and performing additional manual moderation on comments by higher level Authors and Administrators of this website.

7.1 – What third parties we receive data from?
This website receives data from WordPress.org, Google.com, Gravatar, bitshares.org, radio.bitshares.org and bitsharestalk.org.
7.2 – What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data?
This website is automatically profiling geographic data only for the marketing/seo purposes through Google Analytics software and it’s internally managed through owner of this website and employees of Move Institute.
